Nancy Tawil, B.Sc., M.Eng.

President and CEO

Nancy Tawil holds a Bachelor degree in Physiology from McGill University and a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal. She is soon to obtain her PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering for her award-winning work on nano-enhanced, phage-based detection of pathogens, namely methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, anthrax and pathogenic strains of Escherichia coli.

Pierre Bitar, CA

Chief Financial Officer

Pierre Bitar holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Quebec In Montreal. Mr. Bitar received his chartered accountant designation in 2010 and holds the CPA Auditor, CA title. He is currently a senior II staff accountant for Ernst &Young LLP. Mr. Bitar has also successfully passed the two first exams of the CFA program and is a candidate for the level 3 exam. He has broad domestic and international experience including exploiting new growth opportunities, strategic planning, resource allocation, tax compliance and organization development.

Sandy Tawil, CA

Controller and Chief Accounting Officer

Sandy Tawil holds a Bachelor degree in Bachelor in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Quebec In Montreal. Ms. Tawil received her chartered accountant designation in 2011 and holds the CPA Auditor, CA title. She is currently a senior II staff accountant for Ernst & Young LLP.

Dr. Rosemonde Mandeville, MD, PhD

Board of Scientific Advisors

Dr. Rosemonde Mandeville studied medicine at the University of Alexandria and holds a doctorate degree in Medical Microbiology from the University of Manitoba. She is the president and Chief Scientific officer of Biophage Pharma Inc. whose main focus is the development of phage-based therapeutics approaches for biomedical and environmental applications. Dr. Mandeville is a board member of several companies and the recipient of many prestigious awards.

Professor Michel Meunier, Eng., PhD

Board of Scientific Advisors

Prof. Michel Meunier is a full professor in the department of Engineering Physics at École Polytechnique de Montréal and a fellow at the Optical Society of America, SPIE, and the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He is the director of the Laser Processing and Plasmonics Laboratory (LP2L) and the chairholder of the Canada Research Chair in Materials Micro/Nanoengineering Using Lasers.

Dr. Edward Sacher, PhD

Board of Scientific Advisors

Dr. Sacher obtained his doctoral degree from Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on biomedical engineering and applied physics with a world expertise in physics and chemistry of surfaces and interfaces, adhesion of biological and organic materials, polymer metallization and nanoparticle dimensional control and assembly.Dr. Sacher is also co-responsible for the Material Surface Analysis Laboratory at École Polytechnique.

Dr. Jessica Harroche, MD

Dr. Jessica Harroche obtained her medical degree from Tel Aviv University and is currently undergoing her resident training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NYC. Her current research centres around infertility mechanisms and HIV transmission in Sub-Saharan African countries. She is the acting junior fellow Section 8 Officer for the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
